A custom purple nun's cashmere wool habit, featuring purple stockings, wimple, scarf, and underskirt, personally owned and worn by Agnes Moorehead. Though not worn in any movies, this habit was believed to have been given to Agnes--who was known to wear almost exclusively purple clothing--as a birthday joke on the set of The Singing Nun in 1966. Light fading to one side of the wimple, otherwise the outfit stands in fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: A Belgian nun played by Debbie Reynolds is Sister Ann and is sent to another order where she's at first committed to helping troubled souls. When Father Clementi hears Sister Ann's uplifting singing style, he takes her to a talent contest.
