Tyrone Power Costume Worn in Son of Fury 1942

A complete period costume--consisting of a black moire tafetta tailcoat and briches, cut velvet vest, lace dickey and black velvet cape--worn by Tyrone Power in his starring role as Benjamin Blake, opposite Gene Tierney in the 1942 film Son of Fury. Created by Hollywood costume designer Gwen Wakeling, the jacket and vest feature sewn in wardrobe labels that reads, "United Costumers, Inc. - Tyrone Power." The vest, which was apparently used in other productions as well, features a sewn in label that reads, "Brown & Herrmann Company, Mr. William Farnum." In fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney star in the 1942 drama "Son of Fury". An 18th century Englishman is deprived of his inheritance. He then flees to a South Sea island but comes back seeking restitution.
