Worn by the 4-time Oscar winning legendary actress herself, presented here is a beautiful black brocade period dress worn by Katharine Hepburn in her starring role as Clara Wieck Schumann in the 1947 romantic drama. Designed by fellow Oscar winner and costume designer Walter Plunkett, the dress features a high collar, pleated bodice, long fitted sleeves with long cuffs, smocked midriff and floor length skirt. A matching black petticoat is also included in the outfit. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: The dignified musical biopic "Song of Love" is based on Clara and Robert Schumann and their friend Johannes Brahms. Katharine Hepburn graced the screen in this 1947 MGM picture, along with Paul Henreid and Robert Walker.
