Margaret Leighton Dress Worn Sound & The Fury

Attractive black chiffon cocktail dress with a peach slip, worn by Leighton as Caddy Compson in the 1959 drama The Sound and The Fury. In fine condition, with an official 20th Century Fox sewn-in wardrobe tag on the slip reading: "F08-21 - 20th Century Fox - M. Leighton." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Yul Brynner gives a heavy melodramatic performance in "The Sound and the Fury" in 1959. The plot is a once-proud Southern family now just barely scraping by both financially and emotionally. Only Jason, the cruel, cold-hearted adopted head of the family, and Quentin, who was abandoned at birth by Caddy, have the fire and the fury needed to put the family back on its feet again.
