A gorgeous and elegant dress worn by the star of the film, offered here is a beautiful beige satin two-tiered dress, worn prominently by Susan Hayward as Katie O' Neill in the 1955 romantic adventure Untamed. This impressive dress features an attractive beaded design along the cuffs, bustline, and along the tiers of the skirt. Some minor stich unravelling along the braided pattern accenting the beads, otherwise this dress stands in very fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: In 1955 Tyrone Power, Susan Hayward, Richard Egan, John Justin and Agnes Moorehead star in this involved epic-style plot. When the great potato famine hits Ireland, the diaspora begins as thousands emigrate. Among those leaving the Emerald Isle is Katie O'Neill and her husband, who decide that the promised land is South Africa and make their way there. Once there, they discover the hardships that are the reality of the homesteader experience.
