Claudette Colbert Suit - Without Reservations

A 3-piece violet wool suit--consisting of a double knit Bolero jacket, short skirt, and silk blouse--worn by Colbert in the 1960 RKO comedy Without Reservations. Designed by renowned costumer Adrian, both the jacket and skirt feature sewn in costumer's tags which read "Claudette Colbert, 1261." In excellent condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: The lovely Claudette Colbert plays Kit in the 1946 movie "Without Reservations". Kit Madden is traveling to Hollywood, where her best-selling novel is to be filmed. Aboard the train, she encounters Marines Rusty and Dink, who don't know she is the author of the famous book, and who don't think much of the ideas it proposes. She and Rusty are greatly attracted, but she doesn't know how to deal with his disdain for the book's author.
