Virginia O'Brien Dress Ziegfeld Follies 1946

Elegant pink jewel studded evening dress, prominently worn by Virginia O'Brien in the 1946 MGM musical Ziegfeld Follies. Designed by Irene & Helen Rose, this eye-catching dress features a lavishly beaded and jeweled lace bodice with long fitted sleeves, ersey skirt slit and draped left leg with beaded trim along the left hip. In choice condition, this dress shows only the slightest hints of wear and usage. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "Ziegfeld Follies" was made in 1944, but not released until 1946 by MGM. The all-star comedy boasts an incredible roster with icons like Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, William Powell, Jimmy Durnate, Ester Williams, Judy garland, Red Skelton, Gene Kelly and the list goes on. This musical film takes place in Heaven where Florenz Ziegfeld dreams up one last spectacular revue.
