An attractive black pleated chiffon over navy satin evening dress, worn by the great Judy Garland during her performance in the memorable 1946 MGM musical Ziegfeld Follies. Designed by Helen & Irene Rose, this exquisite dress features a scoop neck design and has been decorated with an array of multi-colored bugle beads in a vertical pattern. In fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "Ziegfeld Follies" was made in 1944, but not released until 1946 by MGM. The all-star comedy boasts an incredible roster with icons like Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, William Powell, Jimmy Durnate, Ester Williams, Judy garland, Red Skelton, Gene Kelly and the list goes on.
