Judy Garland Evening Gown - Ziegfeld Follies

Elegant cream evening gown, prominently worn by Judy Garland during her memorable performance in the 1946 MGM musical Ziegfeld Follies. Designed by Helen and Irene Rose, this dress features high v-neck, pleats on the shoulders, slight dolman cut to the sleeves along with a gathered drape along the front waistline. Some minor soiling along the hemline, otherwise in fine condition. sewn-in official MGM wardrobe label on the inside of the back area reads: "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, No. 2." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "Ziegfeld Follies" was made in 1944, but not released until 1946 by MGM. The all-star comedy boasts an incredible roster with icons like Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, William Powell, Jimmy Durnate, Ester Williams, Judy garland, Red Skelton, Gene Kelly and the list goes on. This musical film takes place in Heaven where Florenz Ziegfeld dreams up one last spectacular revue.
