
TWO BICENTENNIAL PLATES BY INDIANA GLASS CARNIVAL
Description
This lot features two PLATES that were put out by INDIANA GLASS. The first piece is the POPULAR LIBERTY BELL that was made in CARNIVAL GLASS. It is a picture of the LIBERTY BELL, and it says, PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT THE LAND AND TO THE INHABITANTS THEROF - LIBERTY BELL - PHILADELPHIA, PA. The piece of Carnival Glass was made prior to the Bicentennial of 1976. The commemorative plate is 8" in diameter. The second plate in this lot is a oval shaped plate (or tray) and it has scalloped edges. It has a picture of the United States Eagle in the center and at the top it says, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the bottom says, 1776 - BICENTENNIAL - 1976. There are wo little handles and it looks like there is a log design on the handles. This plate - or tray - is 9" in length and 6 3/4" in width. Two nice items from America's 200th birthday in 1976.
Condition
There is a chip on the Liberty Bell plate and the other plate is in good shape.
