Dr Frank Stableford's Wallasey Golf Club captain's jacket, a scarlet ceremonial jacket by Joseph Brown on New Brighton with gilt Wallasey GC buttons Dr Frank Stableford (1870-1959) was the inventor of the system of golf scoring that bears his name. The first Stableford competition was held at Wallasey GC on 16th May 1932.
