MINIATURE ON IVORY. Finely done portrait of Charles Woodside of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Ambassador to Denmark, 1830 - 1850. Painted with much attention to detail including a textured tie and stickpin. The background is a mountainous landscape. In a brass frame with a machine tooled back and a lens that has a braided lock of hair. 2 3/4"h. Included is a fitted case with worn purple velvet.
