Condition/Details: This antique volume is an examination of the sculptures, art, and images described in the Old Testament, "deduced from an examination of some of their idols." Based on Biblical references, the author, himself a sculptor, seeks to determine the nature and degree of sophistication of the sculptures of these ancient civilizations. The work is bound in blue cloth with library tape covering the spine; there is some external wear and tape repair to the hinges. The pages are generally clean, and the work has usual library markings.
