c. 1916, WW I, “Mine More Coal” Printed by the United States Fuel Administration, Choice Extremely Fine. This 30" x 20" poster must not be confused with Walter Whitehead's "Mine More Coal", this version of the same poster has only an American bald eagle on a shield with "Stand by the Boys in the Trenches" in around 10 different languages below it. A simple and effective poster, it told every American in every considerable dialect that they needed to Mine More Coal.
