Custom built carved and painted wood original automaton, "Nottingham", by Frank Nelson 1992, (British, 1930-2012), opening scene showcasing Robin Hood on the left raising and shooting his bow which moves across the glade and lands in the Sheriff of Nottingham's bottom whilst Maid Marion laughs beside him when in operation, this interaction begins the scene of famous individuals, historical characters, and industries affiliated with Nottingham circling through the background, characters include ice skaters Jayne Torvill (British, b. 1957) and Christopher Colin Dean (English, b. 1958), Boots the Chemist advertisement (now Boots UK Limited, a pharmacy chain in the UK), Nottingham miner on a Raleigh bicycle, goose from The Goose Fair (annual fun fair held in Nottingham during the first week of October), Yate's Wine Lodge with musicians and a lady with a handbag, Brian Clough (Former footballer, English, 1935-2004), Captain Albert Ball (Former English fighter pilot of the First World War and flying ace, English, 1896-1917), Players Cigarettes advertisement (Tobacco and cigarette manufacturer started in 1832, formally known as John Player & Sons), and waltzer from the modern Goose Fair with Lady Chatterley and the gamekeeper Oliver Mellors, a Salvation Army representative, and a beautiful girl ("Lady Chatterley's Lover" by D. H.
