Selected views of India and Indonesia. 1860s/1890s. 23 albumen prints and 4 collodion paper prints. Circa 24 x 28,5 cm and 28 x 22 cm. Some with photographer's name/number and title in lower edge in the negative, a few with number in pencil within the image. Flush-mounted to board (edges time-stained, some with traces of use), most annotated in German in pencil on the mount.
Includes views of Agra, Amber, Anliya, Jeypore, Madura and Madras. Four prints by Bourne & Shepherd: "Palace from the Lake. Umbere" (2313), "Sculptured Well at Adalij. Ahmedabad" (2243), "View from Lion Cave. Elephanta" (2192), "Aanee Seepri Ka Musjid. Ahmedabad" (2232). Three prints by Del Tufo & Co.: "No 9. Banyan Tree in the Judge's Compound, Madura", "No. 15, Interior of Puthoo Muntapam, Madura" and "No. 1. General View of Gopurams, Streerungum". - Slight traces of surface abrasion, most faded in edges, some with retouched spots, otherwise in good to very good condition and several with good contrasts.
