Pair of Shenandoah Valley Andirons, attributed to the Luray furnace, Virginia (an identical pair in the Museum of Southern Early Decorative Arts collection can be viewed in the publication, The Regional Arts of the Early South, p. 136), finials are the form of a man's head resting on a fluted shaft and ending in splayed feet. Condition - excellent. Height 12". Early 19th century.
