Important oil on board painting by Everett Longley Warner (1877-1963). Impressionist oil of a man burning leaves in a natural setting. Lyme Art Association label on the background with the inscriptions, " Burning Brush, Everett Warner, Westmoreland N.H. $25" and the signature of the artist, Everett Warner. The painting is also signed in the lower right hand corner, "Everett Warner". Condition - untouched and original. 19 1/4" x 25 1/4" painting, 26" x 32" frame. Warner was a member of the Old Lyme Colony, an art colony that encouraged American Impressionism. His work is exhibited in over 13 American museums, including the Boston Museum of Fine Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
