Edgefield, South Carolina jug, broken stem flower design with "4" in the flower, denoting gallon capacity. Pronounced green alkaline glazed drips on the upper midsection with a collared rim. Unglazed bottom. Condition - section of handle missing, both handle terminus remain. All else excellent. Height 16 1/2". Early to Mid 19th century.
