Cobalt decorated jug attributed to Charles Decker, Washington Co., TN. This piece is illustrated in The Pottery of Charles F. Decker: a life well made, Jonesborough/Washington County History Museum, p. 40, figure 1. Provenance - Paul Fink estate, Washington County, TN Historian. A type written note by Fink on the history of Decker pottery is attached to the bottom of the jug. Salt glazed stoneware with three cobalt decorated flowers and cobalt decoration on handle terminus, incised line on upper midsection. Condition- excellent. 11 1/2" height. Circa 1870-80.
