Tennessee schoolmaster desk, Knox County, TN. Provenance - Walker family of Walker Springs. Slant lid desk with turned legs ending with two distinct sets of ring turnings. Walnut primary wood, yellow pine secondary wood. Condition - refinished, molding around slant lid missing. 40 1/2" width x 31 1/2" height x 51" depth. Circa 1830-50.
