Southern marbleized painted mantle

Southern marbleized painted mantle, Grayson County, Virginia. Classical form, a marbleized frieze with simple pilasters and moulded capitals and bases. Simple mantle shelf. Square nails visible from back. Yellow pine. Condition - untouched original paint surface. Some scratches and wear to paint expected for age. 82 1/4" width x 59" height x 6 1/2" depth. Circa 1840-50.
