Cobalt decorated stoneware jar, attributed to Southwest Virginia. Decorated flowers and leaves on vines extending around the circumference of the jar, larger incised '3' above shoulder of one handle, pulled lug handles and rolled rim. Condition - lopsided rim from firing process, very small chip on underside of one handle, otherwise excellent. Height 12 1/4" Diameter 9". 19th Century.
