American architectural finial, old surface with traces of old red paint, finial top transitions to a circular turned bowl, narrowing to a concave ring turning and expanding to a large circular base, wood support attached to the base with square nails, wood appears to be white pine. Condition - splintering to bottom base where removed from building. 15" height. Early 19th century.
