Southern sine wave incised pitcher, rich chocolate/black iron clay slip glaze similar to pottery found in upstate South Carolina. Consisting of three undulating sine waves spaced across the pitcher midsection as well as four incised bands on the upper midsection, glazed bottom. Condition - old chips around the top rim, otherwise excellent. Height 7 1/8". 19th century.
