Southern folk art carved cane

Carved cane with various animals and plants including a salamander, bird, flower, leaf, and snake. Signed 'W. Hadam' in etched metal near top of cane, found in Scott County, Virginia. Dimensions - 34 1/2" length, 1" square at top of cane. Condition - old patina with expected wear. Late 19th century.
