Coin silver ladle by Robert Keyworth, Washington D

Rare antique coin silver sauce ladle by Robert Keyworth (1795-1856), Washington D.C. silversmith. Coin ladle has a fiddleback handle with the monogram, "H.E.K." The underside of the ladle is stamped, "R. Keyworth". Condition - excellent. 7 1/2" length. Circa 1830. Robert Keyworth was a Major in the 1st Regiment, D.C. Volunteers. In the 1834 Washington directory, Keyworth was listed as a jeweller and silversmith at the North side of Pennsylvania Avenue between 9th and 10th West. He is buried in the Congressional Cemetery in Washington D.C.
