Grain painted dovetailed dome top box, with grain painting on all sides, original lock and hasp, key hole in the shape of an eagle. Interior leather straps for supporting lid. White pine throughout. Mid-Atlantic or New England. Condition - wear and scratches to the painted surface, some later paint smudges on top, hasp loose at top and locked. 24" width x 12" height x 13" depth. Early 19th century.
