Walnut keepsake box with interior tray, found in Blacksburg, Virginia , exposed dovetails on front and back of box, interior tray consisting of walnut dividers and a poplar bottom with old cut nail construction, an old typed note on the underside of the top reads, "Have a place for everything and put everything in its place". Condition - original surface with two replaced blocks to support tray. Dimensions 12" width, 8" depth, 5" height. Early 19th century.
