"Penny" Quilt. Circa 1870-1880. Origin: Brandt family, Lebanon County. Construction: 4-1/2" circles pieced from four pieces appliqued to black background fabric with feather stitching along edges. There is a 6-1/2" red border. Fabrics: Wools and cotton. Backing: Glazed chintz in floral pattern. 68-1/2" x 77". (Excellent).
