Likely to date to around 1900, this mule has upturned ears, heavily ribbed sides, a facial expression that is simply funny, molded in 2 pieces and an upturned tail. The overall length is 3 3/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches to the top of the ears. For its size, it is heavy and may either be iron or lead. The legs are in good condition and the finish is original with no visible overpainting, and traces of possibly a grey color remain in the fur of the donkey.
