Signed lower left, A. S. MacLeod, with the sign above the pier entrance Autos Not Allowed On Piers, vendors on the street and curb clearly visible, figures walking around toward the pier, great architectural columns on the front leading into the wharf areas, artwork size of 11 inches wide by 10 1/4 inches tall. There is foxing on the surface of the watercolor, it could be cleaned by a professional and this piece would sing. The seated vendors are all wearing hats and one is either making a basket or doing something in a basket. Alexander MacLeod was a Canadian who was very well known in California & Hawaii.
