mottled gray and black marble above mahogany frieze, tapered alabaster columns with ormolu mounts, carved skirt, returns with carved cornucopia, black-painted paw feet, turned rear legs, New York, 1820-1830, 34-3/4 x 39 x 19 in. Marble probably later replacement, replaced mirror plate, brass elements with tarnish, probably regilt, surface scratches and abrasions, some veneer losses and separations with later filled restoration.
