BODY PRINT, white pigment on black paper, signed lower right, 26 x 20”, silverfish damage lower right with some paper surface and edge loss, also some silverfish minor surface loss at left edge, none of the damage effecting the image, verso with two small areas of masking tape adhesive residue at upper corners from previous framing, otherwise in good condition with faint imagery on verso. Note: In the late 1960’s, while living in Los Angeles, the artist began a series of body prints which he created by pressing his own margarine-coated-figure onto paper and dusting the impression with powdered pigment. The artist has viewed an email of this work to which he responded “This is the past”.
