1/6 plate in stippled oval mat, in a case with a silk liner on the cover that is coming loose. An early pen inscription on the liner: "D. N. Marshall. Taken at Spring Valley Ohio in 1848. Age 25." The plate is sealed or at least so tight in the case that I haven't removed it, so there's some dust under the glass. [3]
