This is a strong 1/6 plate portrait nicely positioned in the scalloped mat, in a full case with original spine. A paper that was behind the plate reads: "Emery Gaund took this picture in 1849. I was 10 years old-- G. L. Fungasch" -- that's what I can decipher. I can find no reference to Gaund. [3]
