Dow is listed in Watertown and Ogdensburg NY (in Craig's Daguerreian Registry.) 1/6 plate daguerreotype has "J. M. Dow" on the mat. Fairly stiff posing gives the daughter a doll-like character. There are some mat abrasions. [D2]
