A pencil notation on the inside case back reads: "Group of 3/ 8.50 / Taken by Giles Bishop/ 1861." Craig lists several Bishops without any first names. As this came with the previous lot, I suspect it might be the one who operated in Cleveland. The family paid $8.50 for the ambrotype. The girl at right is especially fine. 1/2 plate in full case, original spine. [4]
