Virginia Currency
Choice Circulated 1775 VA "James River Bank Form"

September 1, 1775, 20s, "James River Bank Form," Choice Very Fine or better.
This is the major listed variety "Without Printed Back" and having "No Engraved Lines for Fill In". A very nice example of this major Virginia Colonial type, having a full indent at left and a wonderful Sailing Ship vignette at the upper left. This note is well printed with clear, dark manuscript portions, signatures and date combined with sharp text and designs. Small excellent deft invisible repair at bottom, signed by "B. Dandridge, Wm. Norvell and Robert Carter Nicholas, Treasurer". A note that is very scarce in this better quality.
