fine plank-on-frame construction, base with strap mortises for use inserting various keel arrangements for testing and various impressed numbers, German, late 19th/early 20th century, 89-1/2 in. including bowsprit, width (beam) 16 in. Lacking all spars except bowasprit, one brass chain plate broken, lacking rudder and tiller, scattered small separations, chips and surface abrasions. Provenance: Bob Timberlake Collection. This class of boat was popular in the Marblehead, Massachusetts, area. The model would have had different keel arrangements for testing purposes.
