Roman Egypt, 5th - 6th Century AD. A square panel with a central oval medallion depicting an armored centaur in brown with a buff background. Surrounding it on all four sides are intersecting circles forming twelve small medallions, each depicting either a bird or other various design. Dim: 7 1/8" x 6 ¾".
