Roman Egypt, 6th - 7th Century AD. An ova

Roman Egypt, 6th - 7th Century AD. An oval medallion depicting two figures, one about to embrace another figure holding circular objects with concentric circles of color, which include ochre, blue, black and white on a vivid red background. Nicely done with some losses at the edges, though the central image is hardly effected. Dim: 3 ¼" x 3 ¾". A nice example.
