A Christmas Day dinner programme from the Viceroy and Governor General's residence, Barrackpore dated December 25th 1907, signed by Lord Minto - 17th Viceroy, Field Marshal Horatio Kitchener, Lord & Lady Warrender, Mme Albani and Violet and Ruby Elliot (daughters of Minto); with a programme for Madame Albani O.M. at The Town Hall Calcutta, 24th December 1907 (2) A photocopy of Miss Dunlop Smith's diary for Christmas 1907 accompanies this lot, it states ''Then everyone signed our hand programmes - I have Kitchener, The Viceroy, Albani's, Sir George and Lady Maud Warrender & several others - it was quite a wonderful evening'' Miss Janet Dunlop Smith is the vendors godmother. She is the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Sir James Dunlop Smith private secretary to Lord Minto while he was Viceroy of India.
