FRANZ ARTHUR BISCHOFF (AUST./AMER., 1864-1929), HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN PLATE, C.1894-1900, W 10 1/2":Scalloped rim and pierced handles about the hand painted well featuring four 18th century style figures in an idyllic setting, signed "Franz A. Bischoff" lower left. Stamped in green Tressmann & Vogt, Limoges, France plate. F. A. Bischoff, Austrian/American, 1864-1929; ceramic decorator and Southern California landscape painter, in New York and Detroit founded the Bischoff School of Ceramic Art.

Minor wear to the gold. There is a one inch restoration to the rim, noticeable by backlighting. TW
