"The Declaration of Independence" Designed by a Professor of Penmanship
(DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE).
Colorful 1876 Print showing a standing figure of George Washington surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence, 24" x 16", framed to an overall size in an apparently period frame to an overall size of 28" x 20," About Fine. "The Original Designed and Executed entirely with a Pen by Gilman R. Russell, Prof. of Penmanship." The text is in black ink; the outer borders are colored in yellow, green, violet, red, and blue. Uniformly toned and soiled, with a slightly crumpled appearance, but still an overall impressive appearance. First we've seen.
