Very Rare 1738 Virginia Exchange Form 1738, Virginia, Second Bill of Exchange for 18 Pounds, Very Fine. 4.0 " by 7.5". Part printed form. Printed on laid paper and accomplished in pen. This is qute a rare and early exchange on Virginia and was essential for the tobacco commerce. These "notes" were essential for commerce and particularly so for trans-atlantic commerce. This was the Second in the group of four. If one was lost, the other(s) would replace it. Once redeemed, if someone appeared with the missing certificate, they were out of luck.
