1760's QUEEN ANNE HIGHBOY, FLAT TOP. Eastern Connecticut or Rhode Island. Prim. Woods: Curly maple, hard maple, soft maple, white pine. Secondary, white pine, yellow poplar. App. 69 1/2"h x 39 5/8"w x 18 3/8"d. Upper cornice molding has been reworked. Four legs have been replaced; Front skirt possibly replaced. Spacer added on ea. side of lower case molding to compensate for narrower width of upper case. Good proportion, but marriage of upper & lower cases.
