Handsome officer wearing finely tailored Civil War uniform. Hard case has crossing canons with eagle and shield on front. Noticeable damage to right upper corner, with hairline cracks running through. Est. $300-500 Ship: $15 This particular image was originally described as a daguerreotype but appears to be an ambrotype. It is not mirrored looking as a daguerreotype is , but rather reflective as glass would be. It also appears to have cracks running along the top corner which would support the idea that it is an ambrotype. It is not attracted to a magnet.
