Four Larry Bird Autographed Chairs From Private Signings (4)

This lot consists of four folding chairs that have each been autographed by Larry Bird on the backrest. These chairs have been airbrushed on the seat cushion with images relating to different aspects of Bird's career, one each from high school, college, the NBA, and the US Olympic team. First is a black chair painted with "SPRINGS VALLEY H.S." and "French Lick Indiana #33 71-74" in gold. Bird attended Springs Valley High School, located in French Lick, IN, and left as the school's all-time leading scorer. Bird has signed the top of this chair in gold marker, his signature rating an 8. Next is a grey chair airbrushed with "ISU #33" in blue and white surrounded by white stars, representing Indiana State University, where Bird attended college. Signed by Bird in black marker his signature rating an 8. Also included is a green chair painted with Bird's portrait in his green and white Celtics jersey, the number "33" painted in the upper right corner of the seat cushion. Bird signed this chair in gold marker, his signature rating a strong 8. Lastly, there is a second grey chair airbrushed with "USA Basketball" and the number "7" in red white and blue. Bird signed the backrest of this chair in black marker, his signature rating an 8. The autographs are accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
