Circa 1969 Cliff Hagan ABA Dallas Chaparrals Game-Used Home Uniform (2) The American Basketball Association (ABA) rivaled the NBA throughout its nine year existence from 1967-1976. In 1967, the Dallas Chaparrals of the newly formed ABA signed Cliff Hagan as a player-coach. Hagan came from the adversarial NBA's St. Louis Hawks, where he played for ten seasons and won the NBA Championship in 1958 with teammate Bob Pettit. He scored 13,447 points (18.0 ppg) with the NBA and later played in first ABA All-Star Game, becoming the first player to play in the All-Star Game of two different leagues. Hagan was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1978. On the left front tail is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and jersey size "44". Across the front is the team city "Dallas." On the front and back is player number "16." Also on the back is player name "C. HAGAN." All numbers and letters are done in red on blue tackle twill. Jersey shows game-use with dirt spots throughout and fraying of the numbers on the back. The shorts have the "Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and size "36" beneath the inner rear waistband. Player number "16" is on the lower left thigh in red on blue tackle twill.
